January 21, 2026 – Last Party in R. Desert Set For International Digital Launch
Mahmoud Sabbagh’s acclaimed feature Last Party in R. Desert is set for a major international digital rollout beginning February 2, 2026.
Produced by El Housh Productions, the film will debut on leading platforms including Apple TV, Google Play, and Prime Video across multiple international territories. The UK, Ireland, and other English-speaking markets launch on February 2, followed by the U.S. and Canada on February 3.
Written and directed by Sabbagh, Last Party in R. Desert has been noted for its raw realism and uncompromising portrait of contemporary Saudi society, marking a significant statement in the evolution of the Kingdom’s independent cinema.
The international digital release follows the film’s earlier Middle East debut on Netflix, where it launched across the region on July 3, 2025.
Paris-based distributor Under The Milky Way is handling the international digital rollout through its distribution service Claudia, with support from the French Ministry of Culture. Following its initial transactional release, the film is expected to expand to subscription and ad-supported platforms later in the year.
