ABOUT EL HOUSH LAB

El Housh Lab is a script development program that creatively supports and financially invests in Saudi feature projects, realizing each project into a production-bound script. It enriches and nurtures independent storytelling in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by focusing on projects from aspiring and mid-level career writers and directors who are passionate to tell home-grown Saudi and Saudi-related stories.

Our development cycle spans from 6-12 months. During this period, it will cater to the needs of story development weaving their way through story, tone, and impact. The lab will also provide each selected project with a specialized script mentor/ doctor and executive production supervision.

In return of owning the project’s rights of exploitation to selected projects: the lab covers development costs, credits the writers and directors, and commissions directors to direct the picture.
